Department of Public Safety to Host Events in Honor of Veterans

In honor of those who have served our country, the Colorado Department of Public Safety will host several brief events on Thursday, Nov. 10, to express gratitude to veterans. The events are being held on Nov. 10 so that we can specifically thank and recognize CDPS employees who have served in the U.S. military (state employees have a holiday on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11).

"The people who choose to work in the Department of Public Safety share a strong commitment to serving others, and this is reflected in the fact that we are honored to count more than 230 employees who have served or continue to serve in the military," said Executive Director Stan Hilkey. "We'd like to send this message to our veterans, active duty military and reservists: Our gratitude for your service and sacrifice is boundless, and we recognize that you deserve our thanks year-round."
